So...I've been using gimp since 27 Aug, the day I became a Deviant! I've never used any photo-editing software befrore. The previous weekend I had taken some photos of myself as a surprise for my boyfriend! It was quite funny running around in the freezing cold in these skimpy clothes trying to beat the 10 second timer, but it was fun. Now for someone with no modelling or photographic experience I thought they had come out brilliantly, but I wasn't as happy with the lighting since there was only the flash. I asked him how I could fix it (he's a computer geek of note) and he introduced me to gimp! That's when 'Pink', my first submission was born. I used one of the photos and added a heavy cartoon effect, and I LOVED it! My boyfriend then suggested I post it on this weird art site called DeviantArt and here I am! This site is REALLY addictive! I don't get out much since I've had kids and this is the perfect way to use my spare time, hell, I even make spare time now!
